o.O ...just joined a "real" raiding-guild. As a trial member...lets see if I get picked for the raid on tuesday. Really need to read up on the tactics or I guess they'll kick me out before I even get summoned to ICC. :D
Summoned? You are the one that should summon the rest, don´t you think? :) Hope you fit it to the guild and that you read up on the tacts good enough to not make fool of yourself, hihi. Well, i´m sure you do, who doesn´t? Even if it not in a new guild, it´s still important to read up on tacts to be able to make a good job. /cheer
I discovered that it is one things to read and understand the tactics and actually "understand".
First raid with the guild included some pugs aswell, raid leader divided us into groups that would go left and right. The old guildies went left/right as we stood while me and some of the pugs looked at the map. Ended in chaos. :) I was also so nervous that I lost track of where I was supposed to be, ran around like a headless chicken... It is a miracle I haven't got a warning from the GM yet. :)
LOOOOOOL!!! Where? Ruby Sanctum? Hahaha, laughing here atm! :)
True - it´s a huge difference in reading tacts and understand tacts... I suggest that you read and understand at the same time.
A good idea is to look at videos, and actually try the boss once before you actually get the grip of what it actually is all about. Noone is borned perfect...it needs practice, at least some, hehe :)
It was Marrowgar... :) Looking back I don't understand how I could have messed up such a simple fight. :) (Looking through all the movies at TankSpot at the moment so I'll be prepared if they ever let me join their raids again. :D )
Well, look at the video and then you´ll realise that it isn´t that tricky after all :) I recommend you to stay in his aggro-range (when you click on him, you´ll get a red circle under him, stay inside that circle), then you won´t get hit by his flames, while standing still.
When he start his Bone Storm, then you have to still stay close to the middle circle so you wont get out of healing-range. Don´t run to far out and not to far away to be able to nuke the spiked ones down asap. That thing is really important.
Else it´s just to be aware of the flames....nothing hard really. It´s a matter of healing and dps:ing the spikes down, and to keep in range so you wont get spiked far out and die because of LoS etc.
Good Luck with next attempt, ofc they will let you join :)
I've killed Marrowgar now... :) But I still have a bit of a problem with the spikes. It takes too long for me to target them and cast a spell to be able to be of much help. :-/ Usually they are down before I shot my first Chaos bolt. (Think I need a nice macro for it... Hm.)

Who doesn't? ..ehurm... eh.

SvaraRaderaGz!
SvaraRaderaIf "tabbing" isn´t enough, maybe this macro could be something for next time, or what else you chose instead:
/stopCasting
/tar Bone
/petattack
/cast Immolate
....and go on with Shadow Bolts and/or Soul Fire if possible (depends on your specc tho).
I hope this will work out good. GL!
I had a macro to target the spikes... But /stopCasting and /petattack will be really good additions to it. :)
SvaraRaderaHopefully I will be able to try it out soon. :)
